Polyethylene Glycol

(PEG)-200/400/600

Product Applications

Polyethylene glycol (PEG) and polyethylene glycol fatty acid esters are widely used in the cosmetics and pharmaceutical industries. PEG offers good water solubility, non-volatility, physiological inertness, mildness, lubricity, moisturizing, and softening properties. Different molecular weight grades can be selected to adjust product viscosity, hygroscopicity, and texture.

Low-molecular-weight PEG (Mr < 2000) is commonly used as a humectant and consistency modifier in creams, lotions, toothpaste, shaving creams, and leave-in hair-care products.

High-molecular-weight PEG (Mr > 2000) is suitable for lipsticks, deodorant sticks, soaps, foundations, and other cosmetic products. It is also used as a suspending agent, thickener, lubricant, dispersant, emulsifier, binder, and viscosity modifier.

PEG is widely used in pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, rubber, metalworking, pesticides, textiles, papermaking, paints, electroplating, PVC, and pigment processing. It can also be used in organic synthesis, cutting and grinding fluids, polishing, papermaking additives, and other industrial applications.

PEG-200

PEG-200 can be used as a medium for organic synthesis and as a heat-transfer medium. It is also used as a humectant, inorganic salt solubilizer, viscosity modifier, textile softener, antistatic agent, and wetting agent.

Polyethylene Glycol is a polymer with the chemical formula HO(CH₂CH₂O)ₙH. It is non-irritating, slightly bitter in taste, highly soluble in water, and has good compatibility with many organic substances.

Polyethylene Glycol has excellent lubricating, moisturizing, dispersing, and adhesive properties, and can also be used as an antistatic agent and softening agent.

It is widely used in a variety of industries, including cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, chemical fibers, rubber, plastics, paper manufacturing, paints, electroplating, pesticides, metalworking, and food processing.
